6 best Rigi alternatives for Indian creators

Rigi laid off around 60% of its staff after SEBI's action on unregistered finfluencers and has since pivoted toward beauty and lifestyle content. Creators who built paid communities there are moving to TagMango, Exly, SuperProfile, Graphy, Topmate or a flat-fee storefront like Pullsy Store.

Rigi built its business on paid Telegram and WhatsApp communities, and a very large share of that business was financial-advice creators. When SEBI moved against unregistered finfluencers in 2023, the business moved with it.

Inc42 reported in May 2025 that Rigi cut around 60% of its workforce after SEBI's actions and penalties, pulled its dedicated app for SEBI-registered advisors within months of launching it, removed its Gap Up app from both app stores in March 2025, and launched Lit Vibes — a short-video app for beauty and personal care — as what the piece called "Rigi's last roll of the dice".

If your paid community is on a platform whose attention is now somewhere else, this is what the rest of the market looks like.

The alternatives, one by one 🔍

TagMango

Paid communities with live sessions

The closest replacement for what Rigi did well. Paid WhatsApp and Telegram communities, live cohorts, renewals and a learner app, all first-class rather than bolted on. The cost is the commission ladder: 10% on the free plan, and zero only at ₹30,000 a month.

Exly

Coaches whose product is their calendar

Best-in-class booking and scheduling with courses attached. Three plans at 10%, 6% and 3% — the percentage never reaches zero, but the free tier means you can move a community across before deciding whether to pay for anything.

SuperProfile

A fast, good-looking Indian creator page

Cosmofeed's storefront, built in India with UPI-first checkout. Digital products, calls, webinars and events from one link. Its plans carry a commission that falls as the subscription rises; check its pricing page for current figures.

Pullsy Store

Anyone who has outgrown paying a percentage

A flat ₹799 a month, no share of any sale, and settlement to a merchant account in your own name rather than to ours. Courses, downloads, consults, webinars and memberships on UPI AutoPay from one link. In early access, which means stores are set up by hand and the queue is short.

Graphy

Structured programmes with certificates

If what you were running on Rigi was really a course — modules, progress, assessment — Graphy is the most school-shaped option here. It charges an annual subscription from ₹24,999 and a per-sale commission on top, which is two bills rather than one.

Topmate

Going back to just selling your time

Some creators leaving a community platform discover they never wanted to run a community. Topmate charges nothing up front and 10% of what sells through your own link, which is the right shape for a few calls a month and the wrong one for a business.

What moving actually involves 📦

  • Export your member list before anything else. A paid community is a list of people who already pay you, and it is the only asset on the platform that cannot be rebuilt.
  • Expect to re-authorise recurring payments rather than transfer them. A UPI AutoPay or card mandate belongs to the merchant that created it; members have to approve a new one, which means telling them honestly why.
  • Keep the old group alive for one billing cycle. A community that goes quiet during a migration loses people who would otherwise have stayed.
  • Re-upload content rather than hot-linking it. Files hosted on the platform you are leaving stop being your problem right up until they stop being available.
  • Tell your audience the new link everywhere at once — bio, pinned post, email, the group itself. A migration that happens gradually happens twice.

Worth asking before you move 🤔

Has Rigi shut down?

Not entirely, but Inc42 reported in May 2025 that it cut around 60% of staff, discontinued its Gap Up app and its advisor app, and pivoted to a beauty and lifestyle video product called Lit Vibes. Treat it as a platform whose focus has moved.

What replaced Rigi for paid Telegram groups?

TagMango is the closest functional replacement for paid WhatsApp and Telegram communities with renewals. Exly and SuperProfile cover the same ground with different pricing. Which one fits depends on whether you are paying a percentage or a subscription.

Can I move an existing paid community without losing members?

Mostly. The content and the member list move fine; recurring payments do not — mandates cannot be transferred between merchants, so every paying member has to approve a new one. Expect to lose some at that step and plan for it.

Stop renting your income to a platform.
