Topmate is excellent at the thing it does and its price is the thing it does not survive. 10% of everything sold through your own link, on traffic you brought yourself, with no plan available to buy it down.

At ₹20,000 of bookings a month that is ₹2,000 — fine. At ₹2,00,000 it is ₹20,000 a month, ₹2,40,000 a year, for a booking page. That is roughly the point at which most people start reading pages like this one.

What follows is sorted by what you are actually selling, because that matters more than price.

The strongest booking product in the Indian market — availability rules, packages, reminders, rescheduling. Charges 10%, 6% or 3% by plan, so it is an upgrade in capability and rarely a saving.

The natural next step when the same conversation happens twenty times. Cohorts, community and renewals, on a commission ladder from 10% down to 0% at ₹30,000 a month.

Instamojo

Taking the payment and nothing else

A payment link at 2% + ₹3 with no storefront and no subscription. You lose scheduling entirely, which is either a dealbreaker or a relief.

SuperProfile

A creator page that also sells calls

Selling a recording instead of the call

What moving actually involves 📦

Export your past bookings and the emails attached to them. Repeat clients are most of the value.
Rebuild your availability rules deliberately rather than copying them — most people's calendars are set up badly by accident.
Keep the Topmate page alive and pointed at the new one for a month. Old links live in old DMs.
Move recurring clients by conversation, not by email blast. There are usually fewer than you think and they are worth the message.
Decide what happens to marketplace-sourced clients. Those buyers genuinely came from Topmate, and taking them elsewhere is a choice you should make on purpose.

When does leaving Topmate pay for itself?

It depends on where you go. Against Exly's ₹2,500-a-month Pro plan at 6%, Topmate's 10% costs more above about ₹62,500 of monthly bookings. Below volumes like that, staying on Topmate is usually the cheaper choice.

Will I lose the customers Topmate found me?

Possibly, and that is the fair part of their 20% marketplace fee. Buyers who discovered you through Topmate's listing are their audience as much as yours — keeping a presence there while selling elsewhere is a reasonable compromise.
