How to set up a free webinar registration page in India
A free webinar needs a registration page that collects names and emails, a meeting room, and a way to get the join link to each person. Zoom's free plan has no registration and stops meetings at 40 minutes; Google Meet's free tier allows 60 minutes for three or more people. Pullsy Store's webinar page is free and runs on Google Meet.

A free live class is one of the best ways to turn followers into a list: everyone who registers has given you an email address and a date they intend to keep. The tools are mostly free. What catches people out is which free tier stops where.
What do the free tiers actually include?
| Registration page | Meeting length, free | People in the room, free | Cost | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zoom Basic | No — registration needs a paid, licensed account | 40 minutes | 100 | Free; registration from the Pro plan up |
| Google Meet, personal Google account | No — you share the link yourself | 60 minutes with three or more people | 100 | Free |
| Luma free tier | Yes, with unlimited events and guests | Not a meeting room — pair it with Zoom or Meet | Set by the room you use | Free; its platform fee applies only to paid events |
| Pullsy Store webinar | Yes, on your storefront or its own page | Runs on Google Meet, so your Google account's Meet limits apply | Seats per session are yours to set; the Meet limit still applies | ₹0 on Free (it counts as one of your 5 products) |
So the free combinations are: Zoom or Meet with a sign-up sheet you manage yourself, Luma for the page with Zoom or Meet for the room, or a registration page that makes the Meet room for you. Watch the clock either way — a 40-minute or 60-minute limit ends the class mid-sentence, so plan a 35- or 50-minute session, or use an account without the limit.
How to set one up on Pullsy Store
- Add a Webinar under My store → Store, with a title, a short description of what people will learn, and a cover.
- Add the sessions — the date and time of each running. One webinar can announce up to 24 sessions, and you can cap the seats in each one.
- Connect your Google Calendar. Publishing puts each session in your calendar, so a 1:1 booking can never land on the same hour, and the Google Meet link is created a day before each session — one link for everybody with a seat.
- Check the confirmation email. Each person who registers gets it straight away, with the date and time in their own time zone. The default text carries the Join link marker; keep it in. The link opens a seat page that shows when the session is and leads to the Meet room once it exists, even if the room is ever re-created.
- Publish and share the link in your bio, a story or a post. On the Store plan, Auto-DM can send it to everyone who comments a keyword.
- Read the registrations in Customers, and download them as a CSV if you want to email everyone yourself the day before.
How to get more people to actually turn up
- Pick a time your audience is free. Your own Instagram insights show when your followers are online; schedule the class inside that window rather than when it suits the calendar.
- Say the time zone. If any of your audience is abroad, "7 pm IST" saves a dozen DMs.
- Remind them on Instagram on the day. A story with a countdown sticker in the morning and a "starting in 10 minutes" story catch the people who registered and forgot.
- Promise one specific outcome, not a topic. "Leave with a 30-day posting plan" fills more seats than "Instagram growth".
Worth asking before you move 🤔
Can I host a free webinar on Zoom with a registration page?
Not on Zoom's free Basic plan. Zoom's own help page says meeting registration needs a Pro, Business, Education or Enterprise account with a licensed host, and Basic meetings stop at 40 minutes. A separate registration page with Zoom or Meet as the room is the usual free workaround.
How long can a free Google Meet webinar run?
With a personal Google account, a meeting with three or more people can run up to 60 minutes and hold up to 100 participants, according to Google's Meet help page. Google Workspace accounts have different limits, so check the account you will host from.
Is Pullsy Store's webinar registration free?
Yes. A webinar is a product like any other, so it works on the Free plan and counts towards its 5 products. Registrants pay nothing — Pullsy Store does not take payments yet, so paid webinars are not possible on it.
Which video tool does Pullsy Store use for webinars?
Google Meet. You connect your Google Calendar, each session is added to it when you publish, and the Meet link is created a day before each session. The meeting runs under your own Google account, with that account's Meet limits.
How do registrants get the join link?
Through the confirmation email they get when they register, which carries the Join link by default. The link opens their seat page, which shows the session time and leads to the Google Meet room once it has been created, a day before the session.
