Pullsy Store vs Stan Store

Stan Store and Pullsy Store make the same argument — a flat monthly fee instead of a share of your sales. The difference is where they were built. Stan settles in dollars through Stripe; Pullsy Store settles in rupees to an Indian bank account through a merchant account in your own name.

Stan Store is the product this one most agrees with. It looked at a market funded by taking a tenth of everybody's income and decided to charge rent instead. That is the right call and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

It is also American. The checkout is Stripe, the currency is dollars, and the whole experience assumes a buyer with a card who expects to be charged in USD. For an Indian creator selling a ₹499 template to an Indian audience, every one of those assumptions costs money — in conversion at the checkout and in conversion at the bank.

Stripe's India availability for local businesses has been restricted for years. That is not a criticism of Stan; it is the reason an Indian equivalent had to be built rather than translated.

What Pullsy Store charges 🏪

₹799 a month, and 0% of every sale. There is no second plan, no volume tier and no rate that improves if you negotiate — there is nothing to negotiate about. Payments settle through a merchant account in your own name, so the gateway's charge is yours and ours is ₹799.

Where Stan Store is the better choice 🤝

  • The same economic argument we make — a flat fee, not a share of your sales.
  • A polished mobile-first storefront that converts well on Instagram traffic.
  • Large, active creator community and plenty of templates.

If your audience is American, use Stan Store. It is more mature, its templates are better, and it has a community of creators who have already solved whatever you are about to hit. Nothing in this product is a reason to leave it for a dollar-earning creator.

The difference that is not a percentage

Most platforms in this market are the merchant. The buyer pays them, their provider settles to their account, and you are paid afterwards on a schedule they publish.

On Pullsy Store you are the merchant. A five-minute verification — PAN, Aadhaar, a bank account in your own name — leaves you holding your own merchant account, and the payment gateway settles to your bank directly, on its own cycle. We never hold the money, which means we could not delay it if we wanted to.

Why that matters on a bad day

Worth asking before you move 🤔

Can Indian creators use Stan Store?

Some do, usually by routing payouts through a foreign payment account. It works, and it adds a layer of currency conversion, compliance and delay between a buyer in Mumbai and a bank account in Mumbai — for a rupee audience, that layer buys nothing.

Does Stan Store support UPI?

Its checkout is built on card rails for a US audience. UPI is the default payment method in India by an enormous margin, and a checkout without it is asking Indian buyers to use their second choice.

Are the pricing models the same?

In shape, yes — both charge a flat subscription rather than a percentage of your sales, which is the argument that matters. The currencies, the checkout and the settlement path are what differ, and for an Indian creator those are not details.
