6 best Instamojo alternatives for creators

Instamojo's online-store plans charge 5% + ₹3 per transaction, falling to 2% + ₹3 on the ₹14,999-a-year Growth plan. For creators selling digital products rather than physical goods, alternatives include SuperProfile, TagMango, Exly, Gumroad and Graphy; Pullsy Store is a free link-in-bio that takes no payments yet.

Instamojo is where most Indian creators take their first payment, and there is nothing wrong with that. Its checkout is recognised, its payment links work, and the free tier means you can sell something before you have decided anything.

It is a payments company though, and a creator selling a course on it is using a store that was designed around shipping physical goods. The store plans charge 5% + ₹3 free, and 2% + ₹3 once you pay ₹14,999 a year — gateway pricing rather than a platform commission, which is fairer than most of this list and still a cut.

If you sell digital products, these are built for you rather than adapted to you.

The alternatives, one by one 🔍

SuperProfile

A quick Indian creator page

Cosmofeed's storefront with UPI-first checkout, built for exactly this audience. Free to start, with a commission that falls as the subscription rises.

TagMango

Communities and live cohorts

Everything Instamojo's store does not attempt: batches, renewals, a learner app, paid WhatsApp and Telegram groups. 10% on the free plan, 0% only at ₹30,000 a month.

Exly

Coaches selling their time

Bookings, packages and reminders that a payment link cannot give you. Plans at 10%, 6% and 3%.

Gumroad

Selling to buyers outside India

Nothing up front, 10% + $0.50 per sale from your own link, and a checkout that buyers worldwide already trust. The trade is currency: your Indian buyers see dollars.

Graphy

A proper course, not a download

Modules, drip, quizzes and certificates. ₹24,999 a year to start, plus 10% per sale — expensive, and the best classroom in the Indian market.

Pullsy Store

Giving downloads away, not selling them

Pullsy Store takes no payments yet, so it cannot replace Instamojo's checkout. It is a free link-in-bio storefront for free downloads, email sign-ups and free webinar registrations, with Instagram auto-DM on the ₹1,299-a-month Store plan. An Instamojo payment link can sit on it as a link.

What moving actually involves 📦

  • Keep Instamojo if you ship anything physical. None of the creator storefronts here handle inventory or logistics.
  • Export your customer list and past orders. Buyer emails are the asset; the store is replaceable.
  • Check what is left on an annual store plan before you switch — those are sold by the year.
  • Move your highest-value product first, so the new checkout is proven on traffic that matters.
  • Update your payment links everywhere. Old Instamojo links keep working, which is exactly how sales end up in the wrong place for months.

Worth asking before you move 🤔

What does Instamojo actually charge?

Its online-store plans charge 5% + ₹3 per transaction on Lite and Starter, and 2% + ₹3 on Growth at ₹14,999 a year. Payment-link plans charge 2% + ₹3. All figures exclude GST.

Is 2% + ₹3 cheap for selling courses?

It is a normal gateway rate, so it is fair for what it is. On ₹1,00,000 of monthly sales across 200 orders it costs about ₹2,600 a month before GST, and it grows in step with your sales.

Which alternative is best for digital downloads?

For selling to Indian buyers, a UPI-first storefront such as SuperProfile. For international buyers, Gumroad. For giving a download away to build a list, a free Pullsy storefront. Instamojo works for selling to both and is optimised for neither.
